Inventing Disposition Parenting Style

Parents with an Inventing (IN) Learning-Working-Communicating Disposition are likely to have a “releasing” parenting style. These parents are focused on their own projects, and  they want to feel free and unencumbered so they can pursue them. They don’t enjoy schedules or routines and aren’t concerned with order and efficiency. These parents are often too busy to notice what is going on in the lives of their kids. They stay out of their kids’ way and expect them to work things out on their own. As with all parents, the things IN parents value and expect of themselves are the things they want to see in their kids. Their “releasing” style encourages independence, self-reliance and creativity, although does not supply the structure and emotional support that kids also need.
